Autism 101
Autism 101 series is a 5-week innovative, educational series designed for parents of children who are newly diagnosed with autism spectrum disorders. We encourage parents, grandparents, family members, caregivers, and professionals to attend, as well as individuals who would like more education about ASD.
Topics covered in this series include:
- What is Autism?
- Services, Regional Center, and Schools
- Communication in Children with ASD
- Understanding Problem Behaviors
- Impact on Family and Family Resilience
- Your Questions
Tuition is $70 per family for all five sessions or $15 weekly. Payment is due at the time of registration.

If you are paying by cash or by check, payment must be received one week prior to the date of the class. Checks made payable to UC Regents.
Monthly Support Group
Our center offers a free support group for parents and caregivers of children with autism spectrum disorders and other disabilities. Everyone is welcome!
The support group focuses on parent and caregiver experiences, successes, challenges, and family impact. We encourage families to attend the Autism 101 Series or similar parent educational programs before attending this group.
